When Danielle was an infant, she suffered permanent head injuries from an abusive household. The injuries she sustained resulted in some learning disabilities. Soon after, a new family adopted her, and growing up, she knew that she had to work twice as hard in order to excel. Despite her learning disabilities, she maintains a positive attitude in life—even gaining a better understanding of other peoples’ afflictions and infirmities. She has come to terms with what life has dealt her, and she knows she is a stronger person today because of this.
