No Limit to What You Can Achieve

US pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce is a unique organization that recognizes the contributions of distinguished Asian Americans from different walks of life. As one of the scholarship recipients I was invited to participate in the Annual Celebration activities for this year held at Irvine, California. I noticed that all events are planned with much thought and focus. The organizers devoted all their energy and effort to make the celebrations a great success and provide valuable benefits to the participants.

For the first time I had an opportunity to learn how fun is combined with business and how net working is pursued in business.

Although all events at the conference were very memorable, two particular events impressed me most in my mind, the business fair and the annual celebration dinner.  The Business fair was very informative and gave the participants important connections and new opportunities. As it was the first business fair I have attended it gave me a chance to interact and see how such an event is organized.  Many big companies such as Verizon and Volvo were there, as well as more popular companies such as Home depot and Office Depot which gave the whole affair a more universal look. I met some top company executives as well as small business owners and some professional employees giving different viewpoints of same companies at all levels.  My impression was that the fair was very well organized, and efficiently run with much information to be gathered if one chose to.

The annual dinner party of course is the other exciting event I attended. Food was great, Sachi Koto made the time fly by with her wit and humor, and the fashion show was the icing on the cake.  Also particular key note speakers were very impressive such as the author Adeline Yen Mah of the best selling novel Fallen Leaves.  Perhaps the most important aspect of the whole affair was the message that was transmitted though out the whole evening which encouraged my fellow participants with a great message “There is no limit to what you can achieve. Just look around and learn from the experience of these leaders at USPACC”.
