Asian American Suppliers
Council
Just “AASC” and
you shall receive.
What is
AASC?
Asian American Suppliers Council (AASC) is a program of the US
Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce. Asian American suppliers join AASC to increase their contacts
and sales. Corporate and public sector purchasers join AASC to
diversify their supplier and customer base. AASC is a unique
national one-stop shop for corporate America and the public
sector (purchasers), and Asian American businesses
(suppliers), designed to nurture and develop mutually
beneficial business relationships.
Purpose
Asian American business owners, many of whom are new Americans,
often face cultural barriers in attempting to contract with corporate America and the government. Through a variety of
activities, AASC brings together Asian American suppliers
and major purchasers in settings that foster business
development and take full advantage of the cultural mosaic of
America. Our goal is to provide the opportunity for purchasers
to benefit from the ideas, hard work, customer orientation and
entrepreneurship of the Asian American business owner.

Certification for Asian American Businesses
USPAACC
will certify Asian American and other minority-owned businesses
and offer reciprocal certification to suppliers who are
certified by selected nationally recognized organizations.
Businesses with no prior certification should be certified
through the AASC certification process.
Matchmaking
AASC
specializes in match-making. Purchasers and suppliers can avoid
wasted time and effort. Our corporate members share with us the
specific requirements of contract opportunities. We then search
for and qualify the Asian American suppliers who best fit the
job. The match-making process is intensive and time consuming.
However, when the match is made, the results make all parties
happy.
Consortiums/Joint Ventures/Teaming
Bundling is a growing trend. USPAACC recognizes the need for
small businesses to partner with other companies to bid on
larger contracts, and increase their ability to qualify to bid.
AASC is USPAACC’s matchmaker and will put together a team who
can qualify and win a contract.
Strategic Partnerships
Corporations are striving for efficiency and value. They look
for partners in large suppliers who can service a substantial
contract and ramp up production as they build trust in each
other. AASC attempts to bridge that gap between the purchaser
and potential strategic partner with our matchmaking.
USPAACC Business Development Coaching Program
Every
year USPAACC will select a number of promising USPAACC AA/MBE
Certified companies and match them with a fitting contract
opportunity. The selected companies will be given step-by-step
support from a team of technical experts throughout the proposal
preparation and presentation process. Companies may receive
technical support on creating business plans, teaming, marketing
strategy, presentation skills, financing strategy, operations
logistics (scaling up to meet corporate/government needs), etc.
Annual Recognition Awards
USPAACC
gives recognition to corporations and government agencies that
have shown affirmative efforts in opening the doors of equal
opportunity to the growing Asian American business community and
the organizations that serve them.
